About the Course
These courses are intended for those who have responsibility for checking the outputs of researchers.
To take the practitioner course, the individual should already have active experience, and the attendees should have passed Safe Researcher Training and Introduction to Output Checking.
Specific learning objectives for the Introductory course are for the attendee to develop the skills to:

- Use their own judgement in assessing outputs

- Understand the subjectivity of the process

- Develop a strategy for dealing with difficult outputs or unknown types

- Develop an awareness of the importance of researcher management
For Practitioner course the objectives encompass the above as well as:

- Have confidence in dealing with known and unknown types of output

- Develop skills in dealing with researchers
- Develop internal consistency when dealing with variable outputs and researchers
- Develop skills in dealing with researchers

- Integrate into and help develop the output checking community
