Safe Researcher Training is a course designed by Felix Ritchie, after being commissioned by the ONS.

It was designed in 2017 to meet the requirements for the accreditation of researchers under the Digital Economy Act (DEA).

It is taught (currently) by three organisations, ONS, SCADR and UKDA, who all use the same materials but with their own interpretation, and there is a common test that you will be given the link to after attending the training courses.

The course is required for access to the UKDS Secure Lab, SRS, Scottish Safe Havens and other research facilities in the UK.
